Now available in the midnight color, I found these deep crystal beads and loved the idea of juxtaposing them with matte elements. In the studio, I had these incredible brass Indian focal beads with a hand-carved spiral design I was saving for something special. Spirals symbolize life, as does the number five. Coincidentally the necklace has five spiral focals––a happy accident. So, I named the necklace Maisha, which means life in Swahili. The necklace is beautiful on its own and pairs beautifully with the other two necklaces in the VIDA Trio, Mwezi and Bahari. Check out our original Maisha.
