Most of the beads Saskia uses come strung on a string, plastic cord or sometimes even straw! Usually she cuts the cord, breaks apart the strand and turns it into something new. Every so often, she notices how beautifully strung the original material arrives.
That was the case with our Lagoon necklace. A few of the 900-year old glass strands came with beautiful, tiny glass beads in between. Saskia borrowed the idea from whomever strung those rough strands and recreated the look with Thai silver spacers to create this new soft and versatile necklace. No accident is a mistake!
